Users
The Users tab in the ion8 Connect dashboard shows information about the type of licences that are available and the list of users. Call Connector offers two different license types:
Free: Users do not have to submit credit card information for a free license.
Way Better: Users can purchase the Way Better license for $12/user/month and unlock exclusive features of Call Connector.
To start using Call Connector, you must assign licenses to the users who will be enabled for the service.
You can assign users only after configuring your telephony and practice management system.
Mixed Licensing
Call Connector now offers mixed licensing which means you do not need to purchase the same license for everyone in your firm. You can purchase both Free and Way Better licences and assign them to your users as necessary.
Pro-tip: ion8 recommends assigning a Free license for every employee in your organization to ensure you don’t miss any calls that are made to your organization. Upgrade to “Way Better” for employees who would benefit from full call transcriptions, AI-generated summaries, automatic matter association, and more.
Assigning Licenses
To assign licenses to users:
In the Connect dashboard, navigate to Users. By default, all users are assigned a Free license.
From the license dropdown, select the license you want to assign to the user, then click Save Changes.
Unassigned means that no license is assigned to the user. As a result, no calls received by that user are logged by ion8. You can ensure that all calls are logged by assigning the Free license for all users.
If you’ve made changes to users in your telephony system, click Re-sync Users to update the user list and then assign licences as necessary.
