How Call Connector automatically deploys meeting bots

Which meetings will the meeting bot automatically be deployed to?

Meeting Pre-Requisites

Any meeting scheduled in your calendar if:
  1. You have connected that calendar via ion8 Connect
  2. You are assigned a Meeting Bot add-on
  3. The meeting contains at least one external attendee.
  4. The meeting has an associated invite URL.
  5. You, the owner of the calendar who has connected it via ion8 Connect, have accepted the meeting invite in the connected calendar.

External Attendees

An external attendee is defined by a person who was invited to the meeting (and is therefore in the list of attendees/invitees), and who is both not associated with your ion8 Connect account, and has a different email domain than the user with whom the connected calendar is associated.

Example

Say your email address is lara@example.com. You have connected your calendar via ion8 Connect.
Your ion8 Connect account has users with the following emails: lara@example.com, jeff@example.com, example@hello.world

Meeting 1 attendees: lara@example.com, jeff@example.com, leon@example.com - a bot will not be automatically deployed to this call
Meeting 2 attendees: lara@example.com, bob@example.com - a bot will not be automatically deployed to this call
Meeting 3 attendees: lara@example.com, mary@hello.world - a bot will be automatically deployed to this call

Inviting the Meeting Bot Manually

The ability to manually invite the bot to a meeting is coming soon.
This is useful for meetings that were not scheduled in advance in your calendar. However, if no external participant was officially invited to the meeting, the meeting will not be logged by Call Connector.
