Call Pop (Browser Extension)

I downloaded the Call Connector browser extension, but I don’t see it!

After you download and install the Call Connector call pop for your browser, go to any page in Clio or Zoho, and you'll see Call Connector in the bottom right corner of your browser window. If you installed Call Connector while inside either of these systems, refresh your browser, and you'll see Call Connector. Click the Call Connector banner to expand or minimize the app.

I already use my telephony provider’s default call pop. What happens to that call pop when Call Connector’s browser extension is installed?

Disabling the telephony call pop is recommended to ensure you get the full benefits of using Call Connector’s Call Pop.

Which ion8 Call Connector browser extension should I use if I have both Clio and Zoho?

Choose one of those systems as your target CRM/PMS and only install the ion8 Call Connector call pop for that system. The following browser extensions are currently available for Call Connector:

If your telephony system is RingCentral, choose the Call Pop based on your CRM/PMS

If your telephony system is Dialpad, download the Call Pop for Clio Manage

How do I stop calls from ringing through the RingCentral desktop app or the RingCentral Extension now that I’m using the ion8 Call Connector call pop?

  1. Disable the RingCentral Extension

    • Click the “Extensions” button (puzzle piece icon) beside the address bar in your browser.

    • Find the extension (RingCentral for Google) and click the “More Actions” button.

    • Select the “Manage Extension” option.

    • Toggle the extension to “Off”.

  2. Sign out of the desktop app 

    • Open the RingCentral desktop app.

    • Click the profile icon in the top left corner of the app and select “Sign Out”.

Cloud Storage Systems

Can I configure more than one storage system in Call Connector?

Yes, you can configure more than one storage system in Call Connector. See Cloud Storage for Call Recordings & Transcriptions for more details.

Where are call recordings and transcriptions stored, once I have set up my cloud storage system sync?

Links to your call recordings and transcriptions are included within the call logs in your connected CRM or PMS. By default, recordings and transcriptions are stored in the following folders within your synced cloud storage system:

  • In Google Drive, calls are stored in a folder labelled “ion8 Call Connector” in your Google Drive root folder (My Drive).

  • In Dropbox, calls are stored inside a folder labelled “ion8 Call Connector” inside the “Apps” folder.

System Configurations

My team uses both RingCentral and Dialpad. Can I link both systems to Call Connector?

Currently, Call Connector only supports one telephony system connection at a time.
