Premium Transcription lets you choose a dedicated transcription provider for your call recordings instead of relying on your meeting platform's built-in captions.
When a call is recorded, Call Connector sends the recording to the selected provider. The provider processes it asynchronously and returns the transcript, and optionally a summary if AI Summary is on.
Without premium transcription, Call Connector uses whatever captions your meeting or phone platform provides natively. If none are available, there's no transcript.
Premium Transcription only kicks in when there's something to do with the result. Specifically, it requires either Cloud Storage to be on (to store the transcript) or AI Summary to be on (to generate a summary).
If both are off, the transcription job is skipped.
When Premium Transcription is enabled for a user, transcript and summary processing flags are automatically turned on for all their recorded calls.
Default: none (disabled)
